Herschel Gelfand

Hello! My life at a glance. Age 5, shaking my butt to Elvis. A piano teacher and  lessons for  three weeks before her passing. Hearing someone playing the violin and...okay that's me. Lessons from age 5 through 18. Lots of quartets and orchestras. Living classical. Age 9 and hearing  'Introducing the Beatles' and 'Aftermath' by the  Stones. Friends  toying with the guitar.  Junior High , and into the world of  Zeppelin, Hendrix, Rare Earth, and  more. My first bands were about then. Rock and Roll. High School, more bands, learning lead and discovering Steely Dan, America, Chicago, Grand Funk, BS&T, Spirit, and blah blah blah oh God. Learning recording techniques around 2000 and (still) dreaming of wild songwriter success.. 2017, A father to a 13 month old bundle of dirty diapers and joy and finding time in the studio is  challenging but still I try.
